Uberculture Johor

In the post seperation era, the city of Johor Bahru has aided to bring together the average person on the opposite sites of the straits, through food, shopping and entertainment. Unfortunately in the prevailing culture of cross-straits politicking, assymetric information disseminated irresponsibly by media and politicians, have undeniably damaged this friendship. Instead it has created an atmosphere of hostility, intolerance, suspicion, stereotypes, misunderstandings and confusion. Uberculture Johor is to promote better cross-straits neighbourliness through informed knowledge and exchange about Johor, encouraging fellow Singaporeans to engage their neighbours and vice versa.

The best form of national defense is through promoting goodwill and understanding about us within our neighbours and others, not through amassing weapons and fighter jets. The honourable rich man is one who shares his wealth with others, not his miserliness. The noble is one who has the love of others around him, not their envy and discontent. The distinguished successful man is one who has the respect of others around him, not their hatred and contempt. Lets build bridges, not walls for a safer, friendlier and stable tomorrow.
